William "Bill" Russell Obituary

AUMSVILLE, OREGON- William Earl “Bill” Russell, 51, passed away at his home on Thursday December 8th,2022. Born in Glendale, Arizona, on July 9th, 1971, to Gary Russell and Linda Hall. Once Bill graduated high school in Florida, he decided to enlist in the Army where he earned his Ranger tab and was assigned to the 101st Airborne Division. He served in Operation Desert Storm, and was discharged from the Army in Tacoma, Washington with twelve years of military service. Following his military service, Bill worked in construction until he was forced to retire for health reasons. Bill was passionate about music from a young age, he played drums and keyboard and was an audio mixer. In his leisure, Bill enjoyed fishing, riding his motorcycle and trips to the coast.

          Bill is survived by a daughter, Alicia Ann; a brother, Robert Russell of Milton, Indiana; two sisters, Stacy LaFollette (Ernie) of Connersville, Indiana, and Kristen Thomas of North Carolina; several nieces and nephews; and a grandmother, Nora Craighead of Arizona.

          Bill is preceded in death by stepfather, George Hall; two cousins, Michael Smith and Chelsey Reeves; grandparents, William and Marguerite Russell, Robert Reeves and Francis Beech.

          Arrangements for Bill will be a visitation from 11 a.m. until 1 p.m. Tuesday December 20th, 2022, at Marshall & Erlewein Funeral Home, Dublin.
