Vona Bryant

CAMBRIDGE CITY- Vona Jean (Worl) Bryant of Cambridge City passed away at home with her family by her side, on August 21, 2024. She was born on October 18, 1945, in New Castle, Indiana, and lived in Cambridge City, Indiana her entire life. She graduated from Lincoln High School in 1963. While attending school she met Lester Bryant and they were married on August 3, 1963, at the First Baptist Church of Cambridge City. Vona was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, tirelessly attending countless school activities and sports events to show her love and support. She was a member of Cambridge City Christian Church. Vona was a lover of nature and animals and enjoyed spending time gardening and birdwatching and had a special place in her heart for miniature schnauzers.

Vona was preceded in death by her father, Dean R. Worl; mother, Mary K. (Brothers) Worl; stepmother, Lucille B. Worl; brother, Bobby Dean Worl; and son-in-law, Brad Richardson.

She is survived by her husband, Lester Bryant; 3 children, Robin (Lisa) Bryant, Tracie (Bruce) Richardson-Massengale, and Dean (Kim) Bryant; 6 grandchildren, Chase, Kyle, Leslie, and Carlie Richardson, Jordan (Michael) Brown, and Logan (Olivia) Bryant; 2 great-grandchildren, Levi Richardson and Zach Bryant.

Please join us at Vona’s celebration of life from 2-5pm on Sunday, August 25, 2024, with funeral service on Monday, August 26th  at 11 a.m., both at Marshall & Erlewein Funeral Home, Dublin. Burial will be at Riverside Cemetery in Cambridge City.
