Todd Long

MILTON-  Todd Edward Long, 63, passed away at his home in Manlove Park on Wednesday morning August 23, 2023.  A son of Archie and Patricia (Abner) Goins, Todd was born in Richmond, Indiana on April 11, 1960.  A high school graduate, Todd attended Eastern Hancock High School at Wilkinson and was an Army Veteran.  He enjoyed fishing and was able to cast a line anytime he wanted as the caretaker of Manlove Park for the past five years.  Formerly of Hagerstown, Todd had previously worked in area factories, landscaping and construction work.

          Survivors include his father; his wife of thirty-nine years, the former Phyllis Anne Mattsey.  They were married on July 5, 1984; 4 children, Angela Soliday, Jason Maxwell, Josiah Long and Royce Buckley; 8 grandchildren; 2 great grandchildren; 3 siblings, Terri Goins, Archie “Buddy” Goins and Christina “Tina” Baczyk.  Todd was preceded in death by his mother.

          Marshall & Erlewein Funeral Home has been entrusted with cremation services.  A Celebration of Life will be held at Manlove Park in the near future.
