CAMBRIDGE CITY- Anne Sue “Susie” Pitcher, 55, passed away at her home in Cambridge City on Tuesday afternoon October 3, 2023 with her family at her side. A daughter of the late Samuel Joseph and Marion T. (Turner) Huggins, Susie was born in Wilmington, North Carolina on July 29, 1968. In 1987 she met her future husband, Paul Pitcher, in Cape Coral, Florida. They moved to Cambridge City in 1991 and were married in Oxford, Ohio on May 2, 1997. Susie worked in Liberty at Liberty Bell Wholesale for thirty years and has been employed by Osborn International in Richmond for the past six years. Susie loved to spend time with her family and enjoyed being outdoors in the sunshine, watching movies and shopping. Susie wanted to stay home during her illness and words can’t express the gratitude which is extended to her nieces, Amber and Missy Parker and sister in-law, Molly Pitcher for the love and care they provided to make her wish possible.
Survivors include her husband, Paul Pitcher; 3 children, Joseph Burns, Heath Pitcher and Christy Pitcher Iverson; 2 granddaughters, Lilly Iverson and Madison Pitcher; 3 sisters, Lynn Huggins, Teresa Martin and Tonya Huggins; nieces and nephews. Susie was preceded in death by her brother, Marty Huggins.
Visitation will be from 3 p.m. until the start of funeral services at 6 p.m. on Friday October 6, 2023 at Marshall & Erlewein Funeral Home, Dublin. Rev. John Reynolds will officiate. Cremation will follow with burial at Riverside Cemetery in Cambridge City at a future date.
