Sue Ann (Todd) Darter

Cambridge City- Sue Ann Darter, 81, of Cambridge City, Indiana passed away peacefully in her sleep on January 26th, 2022, at Glen Oaks Health Campus in New Castle, Indiana. Sue was born on Christmas Day in 1940 to the late Leon and Mary June (Clark) Todd. Sue Ann was a “58” graduate at Lincoln High School in Cambridge City. Sue met the love of her life of 55 years, the late Donn E. Darter who passed away on February 4th, 2014. Sue and Donn were co-owners with Sue’s brother and sister in-law, Pete and Nancy Darter, at Hillside Nursery, until their retirement in 2003. Even during retirement, she continued her love for working in greenhouses and her flower garden. She also enjoyed going to Lumpy’s Café in Cambridge City, sewing, and being a part of the Dublin Volunteer Fire Department Sorority.

            Honoring Sue’s wishes, to be memorialized in private there will be no public service. Marshall & Erlewein Funeral, Dublin has been entrusted with her cremation.
