Sevella Evelyn (Watson) Upchurch

Sevella was preceded in death by her husband Charlie A. Upchurch and granddaughter Misty (Upchurch) Abercrombie. She has 3 surviving children, Roger W. Upchurch, Pam (Upchurch) Green, son-in-law David C. Green, Stephen Upchurch and daughter-in-law Cindy (Davis) Upchurch, like a daughter Peggy (Black) Upchurch. 6 grandchildren, 10 great grandchildren and 2 great, great grandchildren. Sevella was born in Monticello, Kentucky the daughter of Otto and Algea Watson and was the oldest of ten children. She married Charlie A. Upchurch on June 28, 1947. They later moved to New Castle, Indiana where they raised their 3 children. Sevella and Charlie were both active in their church and community. Sevella was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother. She loved to organize block parties in the neighborhood, entertain friends and family and loved her flowers.

Graveside services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday July 3rd, 2024 at South Mound Cemetery-West Lawn Addition in New Castle, Indiana.
