Pat Bryant

CAMBRIDGE CITY-  Patricia Ann Bryant, 81, passed away peacefully at her home Monday afternoon, May 15, 2023.  A daughter of the late William Cecil and Bertha Mae (Custer) Derrickson, Patricia was born in Straughn, Indiana on July 4, 1941.  She was raised in the Straughn community and graduated from high school there.  Pat married the love of her life, Arnold “Tubby” Bryant on July 19, 1959 at the Straughn Christian Church.  They lived in Oklahoma for a short time while he finished his enlistment in the United States Army.  They moved back home with their young daughter and has lived at her current residence for the past 57 years.  A homemaker, Pat worked locally in Cambridge City at Henderson’s, doing alterations, the Beverage Shoppe and at Peace Goods in Richmond.  She enjoyed playing BINGO and loved going to the ball parks in Cambridge City and Dublin to watch youth baseball and softball.

           Pat is survived by her 2 children, Terry A. Bryant and Felicia Sue (Faron Mastin) Bryant; brother and sisters in-law, and William “Bill” Cowin, Bette and JoAnne Derrickson; nieces and nephews.

          She was preceded in death by her husband on October 20, 2014; 5 siblings, Mary Jane Cowin, Betty Louise Smith, Janice M. Dickerson, William and Cecil Jr. Derrickson.

          Visitation will be at Marshall & Erlewein Funeral Home, Dublin, from 11 a.m. until the time of funeral services at 1 p.m. on Saturday May 20, 2023.  Burial will follow at South Lawn Cemetery in Dublin.
