Pamella Gay Pyle

SPICELAND – Pamella Gay Pyle, 74, passed away peacefully in the comfort of her home, surrounded by her loved ones, on Wednesday evening, March 5, 2025. Pam was born in New Castle, Indiana, on April 26, 1950. She was raised in the Lewisville community and graduated from Lewisville High School with the Class of 1968.

On May 31, 1970, Pam married her high school sweetheart, Tom Pyle, at the Methodist Church in Lewisville. After spending some time in Anderson for college and in Chicago for work, they settled in Spiceland, where they have made their home for the past forty-five years.

Pam owned and operated a home decorating and cleaning business and also specialized in wallpaper hanging. She enjoyed antiquing and collecting. A devoted wife, loving mother, and cherished grandmother, Pam was an active member of the Spiceland Friends Meeting for forty-five years. She also participated in the church’s walking group, where members warmed up with cookies and coffee.

She is survived by her husband of nearly 54 years, Tom Pyle; her son, Jacob (Katherine) Pyle; two granddaughters, Tara and Adria Pyle; and three siblings, Jeff (Joyce) Stewart, Gretchen (Mike) Derrickson, and Estell Hardy (Rae) Stevens. She also leaves behind several nieces and nephews.

Pam was preceded in death by her father, Everett K. “Shady” Stevens; her mother, Charlene (Neal) Smith; and her brother, Stephen N. Stevens.

Visitation will be held from 10 a.m. until the time of funeral services at 1 p.m. on Monday, March 10, 2025, at Spiceland Friends Meeting, 401 W. Main St., Spiceland, IN 47385. David Brock and Eric Bowman will officiate. Burial will follow at Lewisville Cemetery.
