Otis Eugene Taylor

LIBERTY- Otis Eugene Taylor, 68, passed away Sunday July 7, 2024 at his home in Liberty, Indiana.  Otis was born in Tennessee on April 10, 1956.  He grew up in the Cambridge City community and attended Lincoln High School.  He worked sixteen years as a foreman for Asplundh Tree Service and also held jobs as a truck driver and in construction. In his leisure Otis enjoyed fishing and spending time with his grandkids.

Survivors include his son, Bobby (Mishelle) Taylor; six grandchildren, Sommer, Marta, Jackson and Phoebe Taylor, Lacy and Jenna France; three siblings, James, Gary and Mark Taylor.  Otis was preceded in death by his wife, the former Marta Kay Melton on October 20, 2011; father, Otis Willard Taylor; mother, Doris Jean (Siggers) Hauk; two siblings, Leroy Taylor and Debra Neuman.

A Celebration of Otis’ Life will be on Saturday July 13, 2024 from 1:00-3:00 p.m. at Christian Tabernacle Church- 49 Sycamore Street- Hagerstown, IN 47346.  A “Pitch In” dinner will follow from 3:00 - 6:30 p.m. at 8085 George Early Road- Centerville, IN 47330. Burial will be at 11 a.m. Monday July 15, 2024 at Riverside Cemetery in Cambridge City.
