Michael Quinlan Obituary

DUBLIN – Michael T. Quinlan, 69, of Mason City, IL, passed away on Saturday, March 8, 2025, at the home of his stepdaughter, with his family. 

Michael was born on June 30, 1955, in Taylorville IL, the son of Thomas E. and Helen E. (Kieser) Quinlan. He married Donna J. Williams on December 18, 1980, in Springfield, IL. Donna preceded him in death on August 7, 2019. Michael was a Veteran of the U.S. Marine Corps, having served from 1973 to 1979. He was a retired Boiler Maker and had retired from Ameren Electric. Michael was very involved with his grandchildren and great grandchildren and enjoyed camping.

Michael is survived by his stepchildren: Christine Hudson-Barcomb and Shawn Williams, both of Dublin, IN; his 3 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren, his siblings: Pat Quinlan of Pekin, IL, Steve Quinlan of Havana, IL, and brother-in-law, Ronnie Williams of Percy, IL.   

Michael was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, Donna, a brother, Tom, and a stepson, Todd Guetersloh.

There will be no services locally.

Funeral services will be held Sunday, March 16, 2025, at 2:00 pm, at Wilson’s Funeral Home, Steeleville, IL, with Pastor Bryan Jeffries officiating. Burial to follow at Percy Village Cemetery, Percy, IL. Visitation will be Sunday morning, where friends may call from 11:00 am until time of service at the funeral home. Memorials may be given to Shriners Children’s Hospital or St. Jude Children’s Hospital and can be mailed to Wilson’s Funeral Home, P.O. 217, Steeleville, IL 62288.
