Melanie Peirce

HAGERSTOWN-  Melanie A. Peirce, 63,  of Hagerstown, passed away early Monday morning October 14, 2024.  Melanie was born in New Castle, Indiana on October 27, 1960 to Lenore “Susie” Peirce and the late Robert D. Peirce.  She was a 1979 graduate of Hagerstown High School. Melanie worked at Ford Electronics & Refrigeration/Visteon in Connersville and Pro Flowers in Richmond.  She enjoyed mushroom hunting, puzzle books, scratch offs and working jigsaw puzzles.  Melanie was a member of American Legion Auxiliary Unit #169 in Cambridge City and Amvets Auxiliary Unit #38 in Greens Fork.

            Survivors include her mother; son, Jeremy (Ciera Barger) Peirce; siblings, David (Diane) Peirce, Susan (Jeff) Robinson and Brent (Dana) Peirce; grandchildren, Makayla Franklin and Malachi Peirce; nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins.

            Melanie was preceded in death by her father and her maternal and paternal grandparents.

            In accordance with Melanie’s wishes, there will be no public services. Marshall & Erlewein Funeral Home has been entrusted with her cremation.
