DUBLIN- Marla Longnecker, passed away peacefully Wednesday evening May 18, 2022 while surrounded by her husband, children and family. She was born December 9, 1955 and lived in the Richmond and Dublin area most of her life. She attended Richmond Sr. High School and worked at Belden for twenty years. Marla loved music and to share her favorites with her loved ones half of a song at a time. She loved to dance and everyone got a chance to be twirled. Her kitchen table was one of her favorite places to be and she welcomed anyone who wanted a seat. The coffee was fresh and she was happy to share it with her family and friends.
She will be missed by her husband, Mark Longnecker; children, Chad Weatherly, Amy Shaffer, Misty Coben, Jan Wilson, Kimberly Wilson and Travis Longnecker; grandchildren, Ginny Weatherly, John and Keith and Briden Shaffer, Chandler and Brandon Wilson, Danny Wilson, Mya Longnecker and Cameron Weatherly; great grandchildren, Kylie Haler and Mila Snyder; siblings, James E. Weatherly II, Michael Reimers and Judi Reimers; many cousins and friends.
Marla was preceded in death by her mother, Helen J. (Benge) Reimers; father, James E. Weatherly; sister, Darla J. Webb; grandparents, John and Mary Geneva Consolino; nephew, James Andrew Jones; several aunts and uncles.
Marla’s family would like to thank all the nurses at Golden Living Center for all the love and care that was given to Marla and was extended to them in their time of sadness.
Visitation will be from 1-4 p.m. Sunday May 22, 2022 at Marshall & Erlewein Funeral Home, Dublin. Funeral services will be at the funeral home Monday May 23rd at 11 a.m.. Burial will follow at South Lawn Cemetery in Dublin.
