Marcia Lynn Junkin

RICHMOND- Marcia Lynn Junkin of Richmond, Indiana, passed away peacefully on September 17th, 2025, after a courageous battle with cancer. She was surrounded by the love of her family, who were always her greatest joy.

Born and raised in East Central Indiana, Marcia spent much of her life in the Cambridge City area before making her home in Richmond. She was preceded in death by her parents, Paul and Norma, and her two older sisters, Debbie and Paula. She is survived by her devoted husband, Michael Jay Junkin; her beloved children, Allison Elizabeth Junkin and Jordan Michal Junkin, all of Richmond; and her two brothers, Paul and Kevin Moistner of Cambridge City.

Marcia’s proudest role in life was being a mom. She loved her children deeply and would do anything for them. She cherished family time, whether it was playing countless hands of 500 gin rummy, sharing her famous family recipe of pepperoni, or filling the room with laughter thanks to her sharp wit and sense of humor.

She often sang “You Are My Sunshine” to those she loved, a reflection of the light she brought into the lives around her.

Marcia was a woman of faith who believed in God, and she faced her illness with remarkable strength, grace, and courage. She leaves behind a legacy of love, laughter, and resilience that will live on in her family and friends.

Family and friends will remember Marcia most for her warm heart, her laughter, and the countless memories she created with those she loved most.

Visitation will be from 11 a.m. until the time of funeral services at 1 p.m. Tuesday September 23, 2025 at Marshall & Erlewein Funeral Home, Dublin.  Tracy Moistner will officiate. Burial will follow at West Side Cemetery in Milton.
