Kay (Eaton) Smith

 It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of our mother, Mary K. Smith at her home in New Castle, Indiana early Saturday morning November 22, 2025 while surrounded by her loving family.  A daughter of the late Max and Jeanette (Clark) Eaton.  Mary Kathryn was born in Greensburg, Indiana on July 8, 1948.  She was a graduate of Lewisville High School with the class of 1966.  Kay worked as a receptionist at First Baptist Church in New Castle for fourteen years.

            Survivors include her son, James Brandon Hudson; daughter, Mandi Kay Johnson; granddaughter, Ashlyn Kay Johnson; great-granddaughter, Amelia Kay McDivitt; brother, Jerry Eaton; adopted children, Tammy Hines, April Macias and Amber Bodine.

 Kay was preceded in death by her brother Terry Max Eaton.

             The family would also like to “Thank” Kay’s longtime friend, Sharon Link for the support and everything she did for Kay during this difficult time.  We would also like to thank her classmates, Nona, Sis and Susan for their support.

            In keeping with Kay’s wishes there will be no funeral services.  A graveside service at Lewisville Cemetery will be announced at a later date.
