Jimmie Lee Johnson Jr.

CAMBRIDGE CITY- Jimmie Lee Johnson Jr., 56, passed away early Wednesday morning, January 15, 2025, at Reid Health in Richmond, Indiana. Jimmie was born at Fort Belvoir, Virginia on June 15, 1968.  Formerly of Lakeland, Florida, Jimmie and his wife Debbie had made their home in Wayne County, Indiana, since May of 2021. While in Florida, Jimmie worked in HVAC and locally he worked as maintenance man for apartment complexes. Jimmie liked tinkering, fishing, and collecting knives and guns.

            Those who are left behind to cherish Jimmie’s memory are his father, Jimmie Johnson Sr.; his wife of 11 years, Debra Ann (Walker) Johnson, they were married in Lakeland, Florida on July 12th, 2013; two daughters, Miranda and Megan Johnson; four grandchildren, Cohen, Cace, Cannon, Caidence; three siblings, Shannon Martin, Amy Phillips, Brian Griffin.

            Jimmie was preceded in death by his mother, Brenda (Reid) Griffin, on October 14th, 2014.

A time to celebrate Jimmie’s life will be held on Saturday February 1st, 2025, from 11 a.m. until 1 p.m. at North Side Church of Christ in Richmond, Indiana.
