Jack Snyder

NEW LISBON- Jack D. Snyder, 63, of New Lisbon, passed away at home Sunday June 27, 2021. He was born February 22, 1958, a son of Junior and Betty Jo (Lannerd) Snyder.

Jack was a 1976 graduate of Hagerstown High School. He was a life-long farmer and when not in the fields, more often than not, Jack could be found at a tractor pull. He loved the sport and was a fan, participant, or team member for over forty years. Jack enjoyed drag racing and often could be heard rooting for his Chicago Blackhawks and Bears. Jack was never without a story about farming, trucking, or tractor pulling. His infectious laugh and smile will be missed by so many.

Jack loved his family and was incredibly proud of his children and grandchildren.  Jack is survived by his wife of 36 years Abby (Winningham) Snyder; daughter Alicia (Nate) Criswell of Milton and their children, Cooper, Colton, and Brooks; son Daniel (Kylie) Snyder of London, OH and their children, Braxton, Lincoln, and Winston Snyder and Madison and Brennon Roundtree; mother; two brothers Jim (Jeanette) and Donald Snyder; sister Susan (Steve) Beck; and many cousins, nieces and nephews.

The family wishes to thank the Forest Ridge Cancer Center, IU Hospice, and hospice nurse Jamie. They would also like to thank special friends Jeff Crone and Donnie Cross, and everyone who supported Jack throughout his illness.

Visitation will be from 3:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. Wednesday June 30, 2021 at Locust Grove Church. Services will take place at 5:00 p.m. with Tim Webb officiating. Burial will follow in Locust Grove Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the Locust Grove Cemetery Association, in care of Locust Grove Church, 9530 East County Road 400 South, New Castle, IN 47362.
