Isabelle Reed

On November 10, 2021, Isabelle Reed joined her Lord and Savior. In addition, she was reunited with her earthly husband, Dale Reed.  Isabelle was born on February 21, 1921 to Hugh and Opal Dickey of rural Connersville, Indiana. She graduated in 1940 from  Fairview High School in Fairview, Indiana. On December 25, 1940, she married Dale Reed. They farmed together until 2000, when they retired and moved into their brand new dream home in Cambridge City.  Isabelle and Dale celebrated 65 years of marriage on December 25, 2005. At that time they resided at Friends Fellowship Community in Richmond.

 Isabelle was preceded in death by her husband, Dale; her parents, Hugh and Opal Dickey; her father and mother in-law, John and Ethel Reed; and her sister, Mary Dickey Ingermann.  

Isabelle is survived by her son, Mike and his wife Judi of Richmond; Three grandchildren, Jalana (Steven) Stonerock of Lafayette, Clay (Maci) Reed of Greenfield and Kyle Reed (Valerie Razor) of Richmond; also four great grandchildren, Owen Stonerock, Grant Stonerock, Mason Reed, and Waylon Reed to be born in January 2022. 

The family thanks Isabelle’s special friend, Barb Woolard, for her years of faithful and frequent visits. 

Per Isabelle’s request there will be no public visitation or funeral service. Her family will hold a private memorial service.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Milton Christian Church- P.O. Box 534/ Milton, IN 47357 or treat someone to an evening meal and remember Isabelle and Dale. This was one of their favorite things to do.

Burial will be at Valley Grove Cemetery.
