Henrietta Lea (Goar) Willis

NEW CASTLE – Henrietta Lea Willis of New Castle, Indiana was blessed to reunite with her family and meet her Lord on Monday, October 24th, 2022. Henrietta was born on January 10th, 1931, in New Castle to the late Roy and Geneva (Van Benthuysen) Goar. Henrietta was raised in New Castle and graduated from New Castle High School. She did secretarial work but especially loved jewelry sales in her brother’s store. She was an avid reader and enjoyed ladies golf, spending time with her friends and her dog Heidi. She was a member of the Cambridge City Christian Church.

          Henrietta is survived by her 4 children, Dan Bullard and Cherie McColley, both of Lewisville, Cathy Godsey of Connersville, and Ginnie Bohlander of Cambridge City; 14 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren; and 1 brother, Roy Goar of Mechanicsburg.

Henrietta is preceded in death by her first husband and father of her children, James E. Bullard; second husband James O. Willis; 2 brothers, Max and Nick; 4 sisters, Francis, Ruth, Marjorie, and Mary.

Henrietta wished to be memorialized privately. Cremation services have been entrusted to Marshall & Erlewein Funeral Home, Dublin. Burial will be at South Mound Cemetery in New Castle. Online condolences can be made anytime at www.marshallanderleweinfuneralhome.com
