Gaye (Conner) Gribbons

Gaye Conner-Gribbons, 57, passed away Thursday evening February 23, 2023, at her home in rural New Castle. A daughter of the late James Howard and Ann Lee (Gross) Conner, Gaye was born in New Castle, Indiana on August 28, 1965. A lifelong Henry County resident, Gaye graduated from New Castle Chrysler High School with the class of 1983.  She went on to earn a bachelor’s degree in General Studies and Business Management from I.U. East in 2003. Gaye had been employed by Raintree Programs in New Castle and Concentrix in Daleville. In her leisure time, Gaye enjoyed family time, cooking and crocheting.  She volunteered with the Special Olympics for several years as a bowling coach. Gaye was also a CPR instructor for the Red Cross.

          Survivors include her husband of nine years, Thomas Scott Gribbons. They were married in Economy, Indiana on September 14, 2013; two stepchildren, Misty and Dustin Gribbons; three grandchildren, Issac, Aurora, and Ian; one brother, Greg (Christine) Conner; niece and nephew, Jessic Villines and Chris Conner; aunt and uncles, Jane and Herman Rummel, Roy Conner and Wesley Grubbs; mother in-law, Lelia Gribbons.

          Visitation will be from 1:00 p.m. until the time of services at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, February 28th, 2023 at Marshall & Erlewein Funeral Home, Lewisville Chapel. Rev. Mark Thompson will officiate. Cremation will follow with interment at West Lawn Cemetery in Hagerstown. Memorial contributions can be made to Pat’s Pet Clinic, 11 Midway Drive, New Castle, IN 47362.
