Doug Cole

LEWISVILLE- Floyd “Doug” Douglas Cole, 63, passed away peacefully with his mother by his side at St. Vincent Heart Center in Indianapolis on Saturday evening December 10th, 2022. Doug was born in New Castle, Indiana, on November 27th, 1959, to Floyd and Nancy Ellajean (Hawk) Cole. A lifelong Rush County resident, he graduated from Milton School in 1981. He worked in Rushville at Shares, for several years. In his free time, he loved construction blocks, transformers, playing cards and collecting anything  John Deere. He touched many lives of all that knew him.

          Doug is survived by his mother, Nancy Cole; two brothers, Dale and Darren Cole; three nephews; great niece and great nephew; two aunts; and many cousins.

          Doug is preceded in death by his father, Floyd (July 8th, 1995); brother, Darrell (Aug. 12th, 2022); grandparents, Herschel and Vera Hawk of New Lisbon and Melvin and Goldie Cole of Rush County.

          Visitation for Doug will be held at Marshall & Erlewein Funeral Home, Lewisville Chapel on Thursday December 15th, 2022, from 11 a.m. until time of funeral service at 1 p.m..  Pastor Gary Snowden will officiate. Burial will be at Raleigh Zion Cemetery in Raleigh.
