Dolores Elaine Puckett

DUBLIN-  Dolores Elaine Puckett, 85, passed away Tuesday morning January 23, 2024 at Hickory Creek of New Castle. The only child of the late Albert and Irene (Heibeck) Poske, Dolores was born in Connersville, Indiana on September 1, 1938.  She was raised in the Connersville community and graduated from high school there.    Dolores married the love of her life, Ray Allen Puckett, on October 10, 1959 at the Methodist Church in Connersville. They moved to Dublin in 1962. Dolores worked as a claim’s deputy for the State Employment Office- Work Force One in Richmond and retired after more than thirty years of service. In her leisure, Dolores enjoyed having lunch with friends, sewing, crafting, attending craft shows and shopping. She attended the Community Bible Church south of Milton.

          Survivors include 4 children, Michael Puckett, Linda (Mark) Armstrong, David (Vickie) Puckett and Mark Puckett; 5 granddaughters; 3 great grandchildren; sister in-law, Janice Longnecker; nieces and nephews.

           Dolores was preceded in death by her husband of twenty-four years, Ray, on November 7, 1983 and brother in-law, John Puckett.

          Visitation will be from 11 a.m. until the start of funeral services at 1 p.m. on Friday January 26, 2024 at Marshall & Erlewein Funeral Home, Dublin.  Pastor John Bennett will officiate.  Burial will follow at New Lisbon Cemetery.
