Darrell Shepherd

OGDEN – Darrell Shepherd, 66, passed away Wednesday, February 14th, 2024, at Henry Community Health in New Castle. He was born March 11th, 1957, in New Castle, Indiana to the late Lloyd and Beulah L. “Juel” (Caudill) Shepherd. Darrell attended Tri High School. A hard worker, Darrell retired from Glen Cove Cemetery in Knightstown in 2012 after 28 years of service. Darrell enjoyed eating out with friends, spending time with his family and collecting NASCAR memorabilia.

Survivors include 1 sister, Marcia Shepherd of Ogden; 1 brother, William Shepherd of Greenfield; nieces Carla Moore (Sherri Hadsell) of Indianapolis, Kim Shepherd, Paula (Bill) Hasty of New Castle; nephew, Kevin Shepherd (Makala Holiday) of Greenfield; great nieces, Brianna Moore of Greenfield, Tori (Savion) Brown of Indianapolis, Katyla Smith of Greenfield; great nephews, Isaiah Shepherd (Camry Hinsey), Marvin Hasty of New Castle; great-great nieces and nephews, Ryder, Dawson, Hailyn, Millie Shepherd, and Kolibri Brown

Visitation for Darrell will be from 10 a.m. until the time of funeral services at 1 p.m. on Monday, February 19th, 2024, at Marshall & Erlewein Funeral Home, Dublin. Rev. George Maloyed will officiate. Burial will follow at South Lawn Cemetery in Dublin.
