Brian Cordell Conley, 54, passed away unexpectedly at his home in Indianapolis, on Saturday, August 26, 2023. The son of Cordell and Rosemary Conley, Brian was born in New Castle, IN on August 29, 1968. Brian was a 1986 graduate of Tri High School. An extremely skilled salesman, Brian built a career in retail management. Those who were fortunate to work with Brian knew his commitment to making work both fun and productive. His commitment to honoring the integrity of each person he met was unwavering throughout his life. Brian’s friends will not only miss his dedication and compassion, but his heart felt laugh. In his youth, Brian enjoyed spending time with family at Conley Bottom, Lake Cumberland, Kentucky boating and waterskiing. He also enjoyed taking his beloved Corgis for boat rides at his home on Crystal Lake in Indianapolis. Brian’s family and friends benefited from his love for entertaining. Brian took great pride in serving meals full of flavor and fun.
On October 4, 1997, Brian married the love of his life, Mary Kay (Copeland) Conley. They built a life together spending several years in the Greenfield community and north side of Indianapolis. Brian and Mary Kay enjoyed travel, music concerts and hosting holiday gatherings for family and friends. They were a great match for each other. Brian brought a light-hearted and fun-loving spirit to their marriage.
Brian is survived by his beloved wife, Mary Kay (Copeland) Conley; mother, Rosemary (Jackson) Conley; sister, Sherri (Jim) Jackson; nephew, Caleb Jackson. He was preceded in death by his father, Cordell R. Conley; in-laws, James and Patricia Copeland; grandparents, Clarice Jackson and Benton and Stella (Roberts) Conley.
A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, September 2, 2023, at The Gathering, 902 East Main St. (east edge of town, North side of U.S. Hwy. 40) Lewisville, Indiana, 47352, at 1:00 p.m. Visitation will be from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Memorial contributions may be made to local Humane Societies.
