Brent Douglas Powell

RICHMOND- Brent Douglas Powell, 41, of Richmond, Indiana, passed away on the morning of Sunday November 19th, 2023, at Reid Health in Richmond, Indiana. Brent was born in Richmond, Indiana on May 27th, 1982, to Thomas and Wanda (French) Powell. He attended Richmond High School and worked at various area restaurants as a waiter. He enjoyed interacting with people, which made him very good at his job.  Brent lived in the Clearwater, Florida area, where he spent 11 years, prior to returning to Richmond. Brent’s personality was that of “never met a stranger” type, he was a very good listener and could make anyone feel good. A talented artist, he enjoyed drawing and loved playing the guitar. Brent was an organ donor and with his death was able to give the gift of life to others.  He was loved and will be missed by many.

          Brent is survived by his mother, Wanda Powell; a sister, Dena French; two brothers, Bradley and Brian Powell; one nephew, Dustin (Allison) French; one great niece, Brielle French; a special friend, Michelle; and life-long friend, Chrissy Witham.  Brent was preceded in death by his father.

          There will be a Celebration of Life for Brent at a later date. Marshall and Erlewein Funeral Home, Dublin has been entrusted with Brent’s cremation.
