CAMBRIDGE CITY- William Chester “Bill” Fink, 85, passed away at his home early Monday morning December 2, 2024. One of nine children of the late Raymond G. and Emma Frances (Risch) Fink, Bill was born in Cambridge City, Indiana on April 9, 1939. A lifelong Cambridge City resident, Bill graduated from Lincoln High School with the class of 1958 where he participated in varsity track and football. He was drafted by the United States Army and was honorably discharged on May 27, 1964. Bill worked many years at MEG/Steel Works and retired from Rogers Engineering in 2001. In his leisure, Bill enjoyed fishing, rabbit and squirrel hunting and tinkering in his garage.
Survivors include 3 children, Anthony Fink, Rod (Dana) Fink and Veronica (Michael) Sirni; 2 grandsons, Eric and Bryce (Ashley) Fink; 5 great-grandchildren, Logan, Jaden, McKenna, Castor and Gauge; 3 siblings, Dorothy Hicks, Corena Marshall and Larry Fink; several nieces and nephews.
Bill was preceded in death by a grandson, Brandon Fink on April 9, 2013; 5 siblings, Raymond, Paul and Otho Fink, Ethel Miller and Mary Moore.
Bill wished to be memorialized privately, Marshall & Erlewein Funeral Home has been entrusted with his arrangements.
