Betty Ann (Hook) Jones

Betty Ann Jones, 83, passed away Monday evening February 19, 2024 at Reid Health in Richmond, Indiana, after an extended illness.  A daughter of the late Henry and Mildred (Renchen) Hook, Betty was born in Maysville, Kentucky on May 27, 1940. Currently of Milton, she had lived several years in Shirley, Indiana, where she was owner/operator of the South End Tavern. The tavern was well known for their delicious cheeseburgers. Betty enjoyed gardening, flowers, cooking, going to garage sales and antiquing. She especially enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren. 

Betty is survived by her son, James D. Jones; 3 grandchildren, Brianne (Jesse) Puterbaugh, Michelle (Kevin) Perry, and Cody Jones; 11 great grandchildren; 1 great great grandchild; 1 brother, Dennis Hook; nieces and nephews. 

Betty was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Edgar Jones; daughter, Debra K. Jones; 3 siblings, Randall and Douglas Hook and Darlene Marshall.

Arrangements for Betty include a graveside service at 1:00 p.m. Monday, February 26th, 2024, at the McCray Cemetery in Wilkinson, Indiana.
