Berniece "Bea" (Dillman) Marquis

LYNN- Berniece “Bea” Marquis, 91, of Lynn, Indiana passed peacefully into the arms of the Lord at Reid Hospital, Friday, October 21st, 2022. Bea was born on December 7th, 1930, in Greenup County, Kentucky, to the late George and Pearl (Wolfenbarger) Dillman. Bea married the love of her life, John H. Marquis on November 18th, 1949, they shared 56 years of marriage before his passing. Bea retired from Reid Hospital after 19 years as a Unit Clerk. She enjoyed bowling on team leagues for many years, spending summers with John on St. Joseph Island, gardening and tending her flower gardens, cooking, and spending time with her family.

          Bea is survived by her three children, Charmaign (Jonny) Michaels, Jocelyn Goodnight, and Mark (Jenna) Marquis; eleven grandchildren, Karla, Eric, Missi, Angela, Matt, Ryan, Nick, Suzanne, Mandy, Alix, and Dani; eighteen great-grandchildren; one great-great-granddaughter; two brothers, Bob, and Don Dillman; nieces and nephews; and several step-grandchildren.

          Bea is preceded in death by her husband, John H. Marquis (2005); two children, Bruce Alan (1970) and Roxann Gauker (1999); and one sister, Inez Horner.

          Following cremation at Marshall & Erlewein Funeral Home, Dublin, private family services will be held. Burial will be at Fountain Park Cemetery in Winchester, Indiana.
