Becki Reed

BENTONVILLE- Rebecca “Becki” G. Reed, 71, of rural Bentonville, passed away unexpectedly on Friday evening, November 29th, 2024. Becki was born in New Castle, Indiana, to the late Gordon Rayburn and Nell (Aaron) Bush on March 6th, 1953. In 1971, Becki graduated from New Washington High School in Charlestown, Indiana. She attended I.U. Bloomington for two years. Formerly of Henry County, Becki has made her home in Fayette County since 1989.  Becki worked as a Special Education Assistant at South Henry School Corporation-Tri High School. She married the love of her life, Gary C. Reed, in Otisco (Clark County) Indiana on November 16th, 1974. Becki loved all animals and spending time outdoors.

            Those that are left behind to cherish Becki’s memory are six siblings, Grey Rayburn, Susan (Doug) Dixon, Eric (Melissa) Triplitt, Bobby (Kira) Rayburn, JoAnn Paull, Beth (Chuck) McKnight; several nieces, nephews, and great nieces and nephews.

            Those that preceded Becki in death are her husband, Gary C. Reed on September 22nd, 2011; step-mother, Carolyn (Moistner) Rayburn; step-father, Ed Bush; sister, Sandy (Herbert) DeBruler.

            A memorial visitation will be from 2 p.m. until a time for sharing memories from 6-7 p.m. on Friday December 6, 2024 at Marshall & Erlewein Funeral Home, Lewisville Chapel.
