CAMBRIDGE CITY- Anthony “Tony” Allen Haler Sr., 67, passed away after a brief illness on Saturday, April 8th, 2023, at Miami Valley Hospital in Dayton, Ohio. Tony was born in New Castle, Indiana on February 17th, 1956, to the late Simeon “Junior” Crockett and Louise (Shell) Haler. Formerly of Muncie, he lived in the Western Wayne Community most of his life. He worked as a roofer for McGuff’s in Muncie and MEG in Cambridge City. Tony retired early due to health reasons. In his leisure time, Tony enjoyed fishing, yardwork, spending time with family and his sidekick, Griffin, his beloved dog.
Tony’s survivors include his wife of twenty-one years, Virginia Ann (Crabtree) Haler, they were married in Dublin on March 31st, 2002; his children, Anthony (Shelly) Haler Jr., Andrew Haler, Jennifer Hedges, Tabatha Chaney, Patricia (Duane) Kern, Julie (Jon Allen) Suttles, Joe (Beth) Suttles; eleven grand and several great-grandchildren; siblings, Simeon Haler III, Nancy Baker, Marcia Upthegrove, Ruth, and Jeff Haler.
Tony was preceded in death by one sister, Teresa Skirvin; and one granddaughter, Emily Grace Goldey.
Visitation for Tony is at Marshall & Erlewein Funeral Home in Dublin, Indiana, on Thursday April 13th, 2023, from 11 a.m. until time of services at 1 p.m..
