PERSHING – Alice Marie Collins, 72, of Pershing, passed away Tuesday morning October 14th, 2025 at Reid Health in Richmond, Indiana. A daughter of the late Roy and Mildred Howard, Alice, was born in New Castle, Indiana on January 28, 1953. After graduating from Lincoln High School in Cambridge City with the class of 1971. She went on to earn a master’s degree in speech pathology. She worked as a special needs teacher in Wayne and Fayette County School Corporations. Alice married the love of her life, Danny Collins, on March 15th, 1975, at Zions Lutheran Church in Pershing and made their home in Pershing for the past fifty years. In her leisure, Alice enjoyed spending time with her grandkids and going to their various sporting events, cooking, baking, annual trips to Mexico with her best friend Debbie, and spending time in nature at the woods with Danny.
Survivors include her husband of 50 years, Danny; 2 sons, Ben (Ashlee) Collins, and Matt (Deborah) Collins, 5 grandchildren; Gaige, Reed, Miranda, Alexander and Katelyn; brother, Warren (Mary) Howard; sister in-laws, Brenda Crull, Linda Campbell and Sandra Huber; brother in-law, David Collins; many nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews. Preceded in death by her brother in-law, Michael Collins.
