RICHMOND-  William Lee Walters, 65, passed away at his home in Richmond, Indiana on June 18, 2021.  He had been in failing health.  A son of the late William K. and Berta "Betty" (Fricke) Walters, William was born in Richmond, Indiana on August 11, 1955.  William grew up in the Pershing community and attended Lincoln High School in Cambridge City.  He was a veteran of the United States Air Force and had worked for the Henry County Highway Department.

Survivors include 2 children, Jamie L. Cartwright of Indianapolis and William James Errett Walters of Florida; 8 grandchildren, Yamila, Bryant, Kira, Noah, Isabelle, Nolan, Penelope and Grace; 1 brother, James H. Walters.  William was preceded in death by his father on November 13, 1996; his mother on May 8, 2013 and a sister.
