CAMBRIDGE CITY - Wilbur L. Hunt, of Cambridge City passed away Monday, July 22, 2013 at his residence. He was born in Cambridge City on November 23, 1927, the son of Otis Hunt and Esther Hunt Bowman. Wilbur was a 1947 graduate of Lincoln High School where he played basketball for the Wampus Kats. Wilbur married the former Ann Collier on March 3, 1947 in Richmond. He retired from NATCO in 1989 when the company closed and was a member of the NATCO 25 year club. Wilbur loved his family, his home, and all animals. He will be missed by his family and friends. Survivors include his wife of 66 years; sons Doug (Vicki) Hunt of Connersville, Mike (Kathy) Hunt of Connersville, Greg (Jennifer) Hunt of Cambridge City; daughter Peggy (Mike) Cain of Hagerstown; twelve grandchildren; twenty-six great-grandchildren; one great-great-granddaughter; one great-great-grandchild due in December. Wilbur was preceded in death by his parents; son Wilbur Hunt on July 25, 2012; brothers Victor Hunt, Malcolm Bowman, Don Bowman, Howard Bowman; sister Mary Lou Hayes. Visitation will be from 11:00 a.m. until the time of service at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, July 26, 2013 at Marshall & Erlewein Funeral Home, Dublin. Pastor Mike Cunnington will officiate.
