Cambridge City- Wayne E. Tague, 72, passed away on Tuesday November 10, 2009 at the Veterans Medical Center in Dayton, Ohio. A son of the late Louis and Helen Dawson Tague, Wayne was born in Greens Fork, Indiana on November 22, 1936. He graduated from Lincoln High School in Cambridge City with the class of 1955 and attended Purdue University. He served his country in the United States Navy from July of 1955 until July of 1959. Formerly of Connersville he had worked for REX and Philco Ford. Wayne and his wife Carol returned to the Cambridge City community in 1975 while working as a truck driver for Miller Dairy and Interstate Ice until his retirement in 1998. He enjoyed watching all types of sports. Survivors include his wife of nearly 50 years, the former Carol Spaulding. They were married in Connersville, Indiana at St. Gabriel's Church Rectory on December 26, 1959. 4 sons, Tony (Kathy) Tague of Connersville, Dan Tague of Ft. Wayne, Jeff (Susan) Tague and Ken (MaryAnn) Tague both of Fishers; 9 grandchildren; 4 great grandchildren; 3 sisters, JoAnn Sager of Hagerstown, Roberta (Ron) Fokken of California and Lois (Claude) Soper of Centerville; nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. on Saturday November 14, 2009 at the Marshall & Erlewein Funeral Home, Dublin. Wayne's nephew, Rev. Damon Soper will officiate. Burial will follow at the Riverside Cemetery in Cambridge City. Visitation will be from 4 - 7 p.m. on Friday November 13 at the funeral home.
