LEWISVILLE- Warren 'Henry' Gail Aldrich, Jr. passed away Sunday afternoon November 5, 2023. Born July 19, 1944 in Terre Haute, Indiana to the late Warren Sr. and Maxine (Compton)
Aldrich. Warren spent most of his life as an Indiana State Trooper. During this time, he
would acquire his pilot's license and retire as a pilot with the Aviation Section of the Indiana State Police Department. Following retirement, he would go on to work at 4 Star Auto in New Castle where he earned the nickname "Henry". Warren would also later serve as bailiff for the Hancock County Court where he ensured the court staff were supplied with hot coffee and tomatoes fresh from the garden. Warren always kept busy outside, piddling in his man cave or tending to the garden. He was a dedicated member of the Dublin Gospel Mission Church where he utilized his Accounting Degree by keeping the books for the church.
He married Sally Ann Nash on June 19, 1964. In their 59 years together, they
had two daughters, Lorree Williams and Teresa (Doug) Weesner. Warren and
Sally would later welcome 6 grandchildren, Zachary (Hannah), Daniel (Holly),
Kelsey (Wes), Adam (Cara), Kristin (Cody), and Karley (Toby), and 11
great-grandchildren Nash, Corbin, June, Kesley, Westlynn, Parker, Oaklyn,
Brenden, Colt, Jane, and Josie. Warren is also survived by a brother, Frank
(Sharon) Aldrich, sisters-in-law Denise and Susanne, as well as many other
friends and family.
Aside from his parents, Warren is preceded in death by brothers, Kenny
and Don Aldrich and parents-in-law Maurie and Peg Nash.
Private services by the Indiana State Police Honor Guard will be held at Marshall & Erlewein Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, the family wishes for you to make a memorial donation to a fund of your choice.
