PERSHING-  Wanda Faye Potter, 81, passed away Sunday afternoon, October 15, 2023 at Ambassador Healthcare in Centerville, Indiana.  She was born in Louden County, Tennessee on May 3, 1942. Formerly of Pershing, Wanda had lived in Lenoir City, Tennessee since 1988. She returned to this area three years ago.  Following graduation from high school, Wanda received a nurses technician certificate.  She and her late husband, Elmer Potter, operated Eljon Shelf Company in Pershing for many years. Wanda loved to spend time with her grand and great grandchildren.

Survivors include 4 children, Tena and Tamara Potter, Tonya (Chris) Lauper and Tony (Jolena) Potter; several grand and great grandchildren; 2 brothers, Joe (Wendy) Mitchell and Lester (Robin) Mitchell, Kaye (Gary) Gouge; several nieces and nephews.

Wanda was preceded in death by her husband, Elmer Lee Potter; father, Virgil Mitchell and mother, Dixie (Raby) Hall.

Marshall & Erlewein Funeral home have been entrusted with Wanda's cremation. Private services will be held at the convenience of the family.
