CAMBRIDGE CITY-  Wanda F. "Mammy" Baker, 82, passed away Thursday morning November 14, 2024 at Reid Health in Richmond, Indiana.  One of eight children born to the late Joseph and Lena Grace (Renchen) Nash, Wanda was born in Connersville, Indiana on September 29, 1942. Affectionately known as "Mammy", she was loved dearly by her children, grandchildren and her entire family.  She worked in area restaurants and as a CNA in nursing homes and home health care.  In her leisure, Mammy enjoyed reading, sewing, listening to music and baking.  She especially loved to spend time with her grandchildren and her great nieces and nephews.

Survivors include, 2 daughters, Patricia (Duenne) Foster and Michelle Baker; 3 granddaughters, April Hemphill, Kashyia Baker and Stephanie Foster; 3 great grandchildren, Aurora Engle, Torrian and Traycen Dixon; sister, Della Riggs; several nieces and nephews.

Mammy was preceded in death by her husband of 29 years at the time of his passing on March 2, 2007, Kenneth Neil Baker. They were married in Tennessee on May 20, 1977.  A Hdaughter, Juanita Rose McQueen on December 4, 2020; 4 brothers, Charles Edward, Gary Steven, Samuel David and Donald Howard Nash; 2 sisters, Delores Coonfield and Frankie Jo Sturgis.

Funeral services will be at 11:00 AM, Thursday, November 21, 2024 at Marshall & Erlewein Funeral Home, Dublin. Pastor Doug Shilts will officiate. Burial will follow at West Side Cemetery in Milton. Visitation will be at the funeral home from 4-7 PM on Wednesday, November 20th.
