Obituary

SPICELAND- W. Rayburn Reddington, 89, passed away Thursday morning August 9, 2012 at his home in Spiceland, Indiana. Rayburn was born on January 3, 1923 in Lewisville, Indiana to the late Willis and Coramae (Cooper) Reddington. He served in the United States Army during World War II. He was POW and decorated for his service to his country. After returning home, Rayburn worked as a truck driver for many years. Rayburn was a lifetime member of the National Rifle Association and enjoyed hunting, fishing, and spending time with his family. Survivors include three children, Terri Hollada of Spiceland, Sandy Stalvey of Deland, Florida, and Gigi Steinwach of Greenfield, Indiana; five grandchildren, Zack Stalvey of Homestead, Florida, Crissi Peters of Indianapolis, Marissa Roland of Knightstown, David E. Steinwach of Cumberland, Indiana, and Rayburn Steinwach of Cumberland, Indiana; five great-grandchildren, Shayann, Kamryn, Ethan, Alivia, and Raegyn; and a sister, Helen Collins of Anderson, Indiana. Rayburn was preceded in death by a sister, Adrienne Moffitt. Graveside services with military honors will be conducted at 10:00 a.m. on Monday, August 13, 2012 at Lewisville Cemetery in Lewisville, Indiana. Rev. Marion Hickman will officiate. In lieu of flowers the family requests contributions be made to the American Diabetes Association- P.O. Box 11454/ Alexandria, VA 22312.
