NEW CASTLE- Viola Grace Kendall, 87, formerly of New Castle, passed away on Sunday morning October 13, 2013 at Forest Creek Village Nursing Home in Indianapolis, Indiana. A daughter of the late Charles Monroe and Emma Ann (Taylor) Kendall, Viola was born in New Castle, Indiana on May 19, 1926. Viola graduated from New Castle High School with the class of 1946. Prior to moving to Indianapolis in 1970 she had been employed in New Castle by G.C. Murphy and Regency Electronics. Viola was very artistic and in her leisure enjoyed drawing and painting. Survivors include her caregiver and friend Teresa "Terri" Sulek of Indianapolis and her family; nieces and nephews. Viola was preceded in death by 1 sister, Dorotha Kendall; 4 brothers, Everett, Arlie, Clifford and Glenn Kendall. Visitation will be from 9:30 a.m. until the time of the funeral services at 10:30 a.m. on Thursday October 17, 2013 at the Marshall & Erlewein Funeral Home- 115 West U.S. Hwy. 40/ Lewisville, IN 47352. Pastor Jim Jackson will officiate. Burial will follow at the Circle Grove Cemetery in Spiceland.
