LEWISVILLE - Viola Dishman, 96, passed away Sunday morning June 11, 2017 at Forest Park Health Campus in Richmond, Indiana. A daughter of the late Mitchell and Bonnie (Jasper) Wesley, Viola was born in Pulaski County, Kentucky on November 8, 1920. Viola and her family moved to the Lewisville community in 1933. She was a graduate of Lewisville High School with the class of 1937. Viola married the late William E. Dishman in Lewisville on November 24, 1937 and together they raised 4 children. Viola was a stay at home mom. She did a lot of babysitting through the years for her family and friends. In her leisure, she enjoyed playing cards and scrabble, reading cookbooks, singing and listening to gospel music. She attended the Lewisville Presbyterian Church.

Survivors include, 2 children, Jane (Dick) Jackson of Richmond, William Jay (Barbara) Dishman of Laurel; 7 grandchildren, Ray (Mary), Ron (Susan), Rusty (Mona) and John (Tammy) Eaton, Jim (Julie) Jackson, Julie (Mike) Meitzler and Megan Dishman; 17 great grandchildren; 18 great-great grandchildren; 4 sisters, Berniece Stoops, Marie Saunders, Iva Haynes and Becky Conley; son in-law, Phil Eaton; sister in-law Marge Wesley; several nieces and nephews.

Viola was preceded in death by her husband Bill on September 27, 1999; daughter, Sally K. Eaton on September 14, 1999; son, Joe Dishman on February 9, 1998; 2 siblings, Earl Wesley and Bea Mofield.

Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. on Thursday June 15, 2017 at the Marshall & Erlewein Funeral Home, Lewisville Chapel. Rev. Mick Saunders will officiate. Burial will follow at the Lewisville Cemetery. Visitation will be from 5-8 p.m. on Wednesday June 14th and one hour prior to the services on Thursday at the funeral home.
