Obituary

CONNERSVILLE - Vickie Lynn (Smith) Snyder, 56, passed away unexpectedly on Saturday March 18, 2017 at her home in Connersville. A daughter of Earl D. and Mary E. (Throop) Smith, Vickie was born in Connersville, Indiana on July 26, 1960. She graduated from Connersville Senior High School with the class of 1978. A Connersville native, Vicki had also lived in the Cambridge City community for several years. Vickie was a hard worker and eager to take on any challenge. She was known for her caring heart and willingness to help friends and family in their time of need. Vickie had worked for Rihm's Foods and MEG in Cambridge City and most recently at Delta Faucet in Greensburg. In her leisure, Vickie enjoyed reading and cooking. She was talented at writing poetry and published some of her ballads including a piece selected for a book of poems now in the Library of Congress

Survivors include her mother, Mary of Cambridge City; her husband of 16 years, Leroy Snyder, whom she married in Tennessee on February 3, 2001; 2 sons, Tyler and Travis Moore; 2 step children, Curtis Snyder and Barbara McKee; 5 grandchildren, Logan and Emma Moore, Alyssa Denney, Dawson and Daynarra Heaston; 3 siblings, Earl D. Smith Jr., Brenda Gale Keiser and Tina Marie McDonald; aunts, uncles and cousins.

Vickie was preceded in death by her father, Earl D. Smith Sr. on June 13, 2016.

An informal Celebration of Vickie's Life will take place at 3 p.m. on Wednesday March 22, 2017 at Crosspointe Biker Church- 1130 E. Baseline Road/ Connersville, IN 47331.
