MILTON - Vernon Sparks, 83, of Milton, passed away early Thursday morning June 28, 2018 at Ambassador Health Care in Centerville. A son of the late Green and Emma (Boggs) Sparks, Vernon was born in Sand Gap, Kentucky on April 26, 1935. Vernon has lived in the Milton community since 1965. He worked as a tree trimmer and retired from Townsend Tree Service as a supervisor.

Survivors include 3 sons, Chester (Lori() Sparks of Milton, Randy (Cindy) Sparks of Muncie and Tim (Brenda) Sparks of Hawaii; 5 grandchildren, Jessica Sparks, Jenny (Michael) Goodwin, Michele (Tom) Haler, Brandon and Dasan Sparks; 3 great grandchildren, Chase and Paige Conner, Octavia Swanson; 4 siblings, Judy Legere, Eva "Cotton" Sparks, Lucille Gay and Gene Sparks. Vernon was preceded in death by his wife, the former Freida G. Senn, on March 6, 2014. They were married in Connersville on February 20, 1953.

No services are planned at this time. Following cremation burial will be at West Side Cemetery in Milton. Marshall & Erlewein Funeral Home has been entrusted with the arrangements.
