Obituary

CAMBRIDGE CITY- Tony Lynn Lowhorn, 57, passed away early Saturday morning November 19, 2016 at I.U. Methodist Hospital in Indianapolis, Indiana. Tony was born in New Castle, Indiana on March 30, 1959. He was a lifelong Henry County resident and graduated from Tri High School with the class of 1978. While in high school Tony participated in several varsity sports including basketball, football and track. Tony was a member of the Cambridge City Masonic Lodge #5, and an avid I.U. basketball fan. In his leisure, he enjoyed spending time with family and friends, golfing and fishing. Tony was employed for by G.P.B. Consulting, LLC as a railroad engineer. He road the tracks between Connersville and New Castle many times over his 28 years of service and was also responsible for track maintenance and repair. Survivors include his daughter Amber (Jared) Lowhorn-Shaw and granddaughter, Chloe Shaw of Lexington Park, MD; father, Paul M. Lowhorn of rural Cambridge City; 5 brothers, Terry Joe (Janet) Lowhorn of San Antonio, TX, Jeff (Paula) Lowhorn of New Lisbon, David (Stacie) Lowhorn of New Castle, Jim (Angie) Lowhorn of Evans, GA and Darrin (LaDonna) Lowhorn of Michigan City; his companion of 25 years, Sharon K. (Marshall) Mullen and her children, Brandi Michelle Glover and Shawn Eric Mullen; aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews. Tony was preceded in death by his mother, Barbara Alice (Mercer) Lowhorn on December 3, 2010 and an infant daughter, Mackenzie Paige Lowhorn on July 3, 1992. Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. on Tuesday November 22, 2016 at the Marshall & Erlewein Funeral Home, Dublin. Chris Hubler will officiate. Burial will follow at the Lewisville Cemetery. Visitation will be from 2- 8 p.m. on Monday November 21st at the funeral home. Memorial Contributions can be made to the Cambridge City Masonic Lodge- P.O. Box 314 / Cambridge City, IN 47327 to benefit their youth programs.
