CAMBRIDGE CITY- Tommie McDaniel, 87, passed away on Thursday evening March 14, 2013 at Ambassador Health Care in Centerville, Indiana. A daughter of the late Howard and Etta (Conwell) Weaver, Tommie was born in Fairmont, West Virginia on February 28, 1926. She moved to the Cambridge City community when she was six years old and graduated from Lincoln High School with the class of 1944. A homemaker she had worked at Weaver's Restaurant, Paul Casket and Hill's Roses. Tommie was a member of the Lawrence H. Bertsch American Legion Post 169 Women's Auxillary. Survivors include 2 children, Larry McDaniel of Straughn and Carol Ann Watson of Cape Coral, FL; 8 grandchildren; several great and great great grandchildren; nieces and nephews. Tommie was preceded in death by her husband George F. McDaniel on June 27, 1998. They were marrried in Richmond, Indiana on October 31, 1944; son in-law Larry Watson on October 30, 2007; 1 sister, Betty Miike. Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. on Thursday March 21, 2013 at the Marshall & Erlewein Funeral Home, Dublin. Brother Bob Caudill of the New Castle Church of Christ will officiate. Burial will follow at the Riverside Cemetery in Cambridge City. Visitation will be from 4-6 p.m. on Wednesday March 20 and 1 hour prior to the services on Thursday at the funeral home.
