RICHMOND-  Timothy Scott Cornett, 52, passed away early Saturday morning, May 3, 2025 at Reid Health in Richmond, Indiana.  Timothy was born in Connersville, Indiana on October 26, 1972.  He attended Centerville-Abington School and Centerville High School.  Tim lived many places throughout his life but most of the time in the Wayne County area.  Tim love music and was lead singer and bass player for his band "Brothers Angst" which also included his brother, Tobias and friend, Benny Klein.  He was also a great guitar player.  Tim was obsessed with anything "football" and an avid Green Bay Packers fan.  He had been employed by O'Neal Steel in Shelbyville before his health forced him to retire. Tim was baptized at the Centerville Christian Church and has been a member there for forty years.

Survivors include his mother and step-father, Patricia Ann (Fields) and James Elstro; 8 children, Coty (Clarissa) Rice, Sarah Elizabeth "Bert" Cornett, Gavin Cornett, Gage (Tia) Cornett  Blake Jefferies, Brea (Brandon) Hofer, Alexis (Austin) Lutz and Alivia (Christian) Hisle; 3 grandchildren, Laila Cornett, Addaline Rambo and Boyd Jackson Cornett; sister, Katrina (Todd) Zurwell; the mothers of his children, Mindy Dawn Selby and Rachae Gilpin; several nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins.

Tim was preceded in death by his father, Timothy B. Cornett and his brother, Tobias Edwin Cornett.

Following cremation, a visitation will be from 11 a.m. until the time of services at 1 p.m. on Saturday May 10, 2025 at Marshall & Erlewein Funeral Home, Dublin. Benny Klein will officiate.   Burial will follow at Abington Cemetery in Abington, Indiana.
