CAMBRIDGE CITY- Thomas Lee "Tom" Peyton, 64, passed away at his home in Cambridge City, Indiana on Sunday morning July 31, 2011. Tom was born in Indianpolis, Indiana on February 13, 1947. He grew up in the Lewisville community and graduated from Lewisville High School with the class of 1965. Tom was a graduate of Depauw University with a Bachelors of Science degree and continued his eduacation at Butler University with a degree in Pharmacology. He worked as a Pharmacist at Hook's Drug Store in Cambridge City for 15 years and for the past 21 years he has been employed by the Kroger Pharmacy in New Castle and most recently as manager at the Kroger Pharmacy in Richmond. Tom had many interests which included blacksmithing, shooting guns, enjoying nature and time on his farm but most importantly spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren whom he loved very much. Tom was a member of the Lewisville Masonic Lodge #72 F & AM. Survivors include his wife, the former Elsie Marie Griffin. 2 daughters, Kimberly (Andrew Brown) Peyton of Richmond and Erin (Peyton) Jordan of Castro Valley, CA; 3 grandchildren, Michaela and Jonathon Jordan of Castro Valley, CA and Drew Brown of Richmond; 1 brother, Michael (Nancy) Peyton of Knightstown; 2 aunts, Barbara Hickman of New Palestine and Mary Lou Lynn of Houstonville, KY; 1 uncle, John Peyton of Leesburg, FL; several nieces and nephews. Tom wasx preceded in death by his father, Tony Lee Peyton on September 5, 1995 and his mother, Caroline Elizabeth (Street) Peyton on January 7, 2003. Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. on Friday August 5, 2011 at the Marshall & Erlewein Funeral Home, Lewisville. Rev. Arthur Whitaker will officiate. Burial will follow at the Lewisville Cemetery. Visitation will be from 2-6 p.m. on Thursday August 4 at the funeral home with Masonic Services conducted by the Lewisville Lodge beginning at 6 p.m. Memorial Contributions can be made to the American Heart Assoc.- 208 LaSalle St. Suite 1500/ Chicago, IL 60604-1242 or St. Jude Childrens Hospital- P.O.
