Thomas Lynn Ervin, 76, passed away early Friday morning on June 9th, 2023, at Henry Community Health in New Castle, Indiana. Tom entered the world on June 12th, 1946, in New Castle, to parents Herbert Lynn and Earlene Esther (Lemons) Ervin. He grew up in Mount Summit but lived in a few cities such as Cambridge City, New Castle, and then later residing in Straughn since 1977. In 1965 after graduating from Blue River Valley High School, Tom was drafted into the United States Army. He served two years during the Vietnam War while stationed in Germany. After serving in the Army, he worked as a machine operator for Chrysler in New Castle where he saw retirement in 2002. Tom married the love of his life, Marilyn Reva (Shell) Ervin in October 1976 in Jamestown, Tennessee, and had two sons together. In his free time, Tom enjoyed raising his family, worked hard in everything he put his time into, and playing games on his computer.

Tom is preceded in death by his parents; wife, Marilyn (July 20th, 2015); two sisters, Gail Earlene Haler, and Patricia Ann Neel.

Tom is survived by his two sons, Clinton Lynn Ervin, and Danny Thomas Ervin; one brother, Ed (Lora) Ervin. several nieces and nephews, including Melinda McCracken, Matt and Eric Ervin, and Greg Neel.

Friends and Family may attend Tom's visitation from 11 a.m. until 1 p.m. on Tuesday, June 13th, 2023, at Marshall & Erlewein Funeral Home in Dublin, Indiana. Funeral Service will follow at 1 p.m. Rev. Doug Schilts will officiate. Burial will follow at Riverside Cemetery in Cambridge City, Indiana.
