Thomas S. Creech, Sr. passed away peacefully at home September 15, 2025, at the age of 78, surrounded by loved ones. Born in Connersville, IN on December 28, 1946, he was the son of Thomas E. Creech and Christina Sterling Creech. Tom married Patricia McDonough Creech on January 16, 1965, at St. Gabriel Catholic Church. Their loving relationship lasted 63 years. Together they raised two children. Kevin Creech, who passed away in September of 2002 and Thomas Creech, Jr.

He worked at D&M from 1965 to 1994. He then worked at Connersville Ordinance Enforcer from 1994 to 1996. In 1996, he played an instrumental role in getting the Connersville Transfer Station started. He was the Operator of the Connersville Transfer Station from 1996 until he retired in 2021. Tom was a member of St. Gabriel Catholic Church and a member of the Connersville Lions Club. He served his community as a member of Connersville City Council from 2008 to 2015. He was also an avid sports fan. He was a high school baseball umpire, a high school basketball referee and coached his sons in basketball and baseball. Tom also enjoyed playing volleyball and softball and was a big IndyCar racing fan. However, what he enjoyed most in life was spending time with his family.

He is survived by his wife Patty, son Tom, daughter-in-law Susannah "Sam" Holtsclaw-Creech, grandchildren Kirsten Creech, Chandler Creech and Tiona (Greer) Creech, great-granddaughter Mira, a special cousin who was more like a sister, Phyllis (Creech) Henry, her husband Bruce Henry, and their two children Jermey Henry and Stacy (Henry) Scott.

He was preceded in death by his son Kevin Creech, father Thomas E. Creech, mother Christina Sterling Creech, sister Claudia Creech Barella, father-in-law Russell McDonough, mother-in-law Helen Showalter McDonough and a special aunt and uncle Charlie Creech and Velma Creech. Tom was a very private person and preferred not to have a funeral service. The family will have a private memorial service at a later date.
