RUSHVILLE- Teresa Lee Coop, 57, passed away on Friday evening March 15, 2013 at Flatrock River Lodge in Rushville, Indiana. Teresa was born in New Castle, Indiana on August 14, 1955. Teresa will always be remembered for her magnetic personality. She enjoyed people and possessed a special genuine quality of making you feel important and was always ready to share a hug. Teresa attended several workshops throughout her life, learning independent living skills, reading, writing and pottery. She received the OBRA Award from Shares Inc. in Rushville which recognized her for "her smile that engaged the community." Survivors include her mother, Agnes "Belle" (Groce) Coop of Rushville; 6 siblings, Bonnie (Ted) Meier of Bradenton, FL, Madonna (Yuland) Baker of Indianapolis, Karon (Paul) Rose of Richmond, Julia (fiance' Rick Stanbrough) Wilson of New Castle, Cathy (Steve) Pauley of New Smyrna, FL, Timothy (Deann) Coop of St. Petersburg, FL; many nieces and nephews. Teresa was preceded in death by her father, Winfrey "Jay" Coop on Nov. 16, 2011; brother, Jackie Allen "Jack" Coop on Sept. 29, 2008; nephew, Mathew Coop; 2 brother in-laws, Max Wilson and Chris Smith. Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. on Wednesday March 20, 2013 at the Marshall & Erlewein Funeral Home, Lewisville Chapel. Burial will follow at the Raleigh Zion Cemetery in Raleigh. Visitation will be from 5-7 p.m. on Tuesday March 19 and 1 hour prior to the services on Wednesday at the funeral home.
