Obituary

PERSHING- Theodore "Ted" Knipp, 71, passed away at his home in Pershing on Wednesday May 9, 2012 after a lengthy ilness with lung disease. Ted was born on January 11, 1941 in Millersburg, Ohio to the late Horace and Dorothy (Arthur) Knipp. He graduated from Lincoln High School in Cambridge City with the class of 1959. Following graduation he entered the United States Air Force and was honorably discharged in 1963. Ted retired from Perfect Circle Dana Corp. after 30 years of service. He worked most of that time in Hagerstown and ended his career at the Richmond foundry. He was a member of the Lawrence H. Bertsch American Legion Post 169. Survivors include his wife of 48 years, the former Wanda Fennell; son, Kurtis Knipp and daughter, Amy (Danny) Edwards; 2 granddaughters, Kasi Edwards and Kala (Ryan) Leugers of Lexington, KY; 2 great grandsons, Jaxson and Parker Leugers and his special cat, Bub. Ted was preceded in death by a twin brother, Tom and older brother, Allen. Graveside services will be at 11 a.m. on Saturday May 12, 2012 at the Zion's Lutheran Cemetery in Pershing. Pastor Troy Lunsford will officiate. Visitation will be from 4-8 p.m. on Friday May 11 at the Marshall & Erlewein Funeral Home, Dublin. In lieu of flowers, Memorial Contributions can be made to the charity of the donors choice.
