SPICELAND - Steven Ray Moore, 61, passed away Saturday afternoon April 15, 2017 at St. Vincent Hospital in Indianapolis, Indiana. A son of the late Tom Moore and Verna (Ramsey) Moore, whom survives, Steven was born on April 29, 1955 in New Castle, Indiana. He graduated from Tri High School with the class of 1974 and attended Indiana University East. He had lived in Dunreith and has made his home in Spiceland for the past 38 years. Steve retired from Draper Shade after 37 years of service and in his leisure enjoyed golfing and fishing. He was a member of the Royal Highlands Golf Course.

Survivors include his wife of 40 years, the former Vickie Gorman. They were married at his parent's home in Dunreith on March 10, 1977. 1 daughter, Kelly (Chris) Burkhardt of Anderson; 1 step son, Steve (Amy) Carter of New Castle; 2 grandchildren, Cade and Eden Burkhardt; 1 step grandson, Caleb Carter; 2 sisters, Diana Gross of Spiceland and Sharon Wasson of Greenfield.

Visitation will be from 3 p.m. until the time of Memorial Services at 5 p.m. on Friday April 21, 2017 at the Marshall & Erlewein Funeral Home, Lewisville Chapel. Rev. Arthur Whitaker will officiate.
